TL;DR
Electrical Analyst III (Spacecraft): Conducting worst-case circuit analysis and derating analysis for spacecraft electrical systems from design through qualification and release with an accent on military standards, advanced test equipment, and root cause analysis. Focus on troubleshooting complex electronic systems, documenting verification results, collaborating with engineering teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Location: Hybrid role near Centennial, Colorado or Long Beach, California; some work must be performed onsite

Salary: $110,000–$165,000 base salary annually, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

  • Conduct worst-case circuit analysis in compliance with MIL, ASTM, TIA, EIA, and other applicable standards.
  • Perform derating analysis according to EEE-INST-002.
  • Review findings with subject matter experts, update designs, and release WCCA reports.
  • Configure test equipment, fixtures, materials, and components for electrical testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex electronic systems using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and time domain reflectometers.
  • Support root cause analysis, design verification, product development, process improvement, and mentoring of junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in WCCA, derating analysis, or related electrical analysis.
  • Familiarity with environmental and electrical testing procedures and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective cross-functional communication.
  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience designing and testing spacecraft electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft power systems, avionics, and communication subsystems.
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations for spacecraft electrical systems.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup or similarly dynamic environment.
