Member of Technical Staff - Backend (Golang)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; hybrid work model

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 per year, with potential additional incentives including commission targets, restricted stock units, and/or bonuses.

hirify.global builds an application security SaaS platform that uses software call graphs to identify, prioritize, and remediate risks across software estates.

What you will do

• Design and deliver core functionality for an application security platform, securing source code from IDE through deployment.
• Develop and optimize backend services, including API gateways and API servers, for scalable and reliable operation.
• Enhance the cloud scanning platform to support diverse build tools and toolchains such as Maven, pip, and npm.
• Build internal tools used across engineering teams with a high degree of autonomy.
• Apply observability best practices to improve product and platform reliability and availability.
• Develop AI code security capabilities for software written by humans and AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–5 years of professional experience.
• Approximately 3 years of Golang experience focused on microservices and distributed architecture.
• Experience with scalable distributed systems, domain-driven design, load balancing, and horizontal and vertical scaling.
• Familiarity with how build tools and toolchains such as Maven, pip, and npm operate.
• Ability to communicate architectural trade-offs and guide teams toward effective technical solutions.
• Experience using AI and automated code-generation tools to deliver secure, production-grade software.

Nice to have

• Secure software design experience, including certificates, OAuth2/OIDC, and secure changes.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Lambda functions, or other cloud-native technologies.
• Knowledge of security, fraud prevention, and anomaly detection.
