What you will do

• Develop routing and capacity systems to manage model calls against latency, cost, and quality targets.
• Build and maintain metering and billing systems capable of reconciling hundreds of millions of consumption events.
• Ensure system reliability and observability at sustained, compounding scale.
• Design and harden the control plane, including credential-scoped permissions and workflow state limits.
• Manage agent execution environments, including sandboxed runs, memory, and external tool integrations.

Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to write high-quality code quickly.
• Proven experience shipping production-grade software and managing it through failures.
• Ability to operate independently in a flat, unstructured environment.
• Versatility to move between backend, infrastructure, and tooling as required.
• Proficiency in using AI tools to multiply engineering productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems, queues, storage, or observability.
• Background in systems interacting with numerous third-party APIs.
• Knowledge of LLM inference or agent architectures.
• Experience building and operating systems at real scale, including side projects.
