Supplier Quality Manager - BIW and Chassis (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead supplier quality execution across the BIW supply base, covering stampings, rollformings, castings, structural brackets, and body structure assemblies.
• Manage PPAP submissions, approval status, milestone gates, readiness reviews, and production launch activities.
• Drive dimensional, appearance, weld, and structural compliance across suppliers.
• Execute containment and corrective actions with underperforming suppliers and track measurable improvements.
• Lead and develop Supplier Quality Engineers aligned to BIW commodities.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing on approval, sign-off, engineering disposition, and production readiness decisions.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of supplier quality experience, including PPAP management, APQP, compliance, launch support, and supplier readiness.
• Prior people management or team leadership experience, including task assignment, performance oversight, and technical mentorship.
• Deep BIW experience with stampings, rollformings, castings, structural brackets, body structure assemblies, large-press tooling, progressive dies, and weld quality standards.
• Experience developing supplier KPIs and scorecards and using data to track PPAP, dimensional compliance, and readiness progress.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills; high integrity and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
