Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite presence required. On-call rotations are required for weekend and after-hours network coverage.

Salary: $95,000–$115,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage site safety, security, and environmental compliance activities, including OSHA reporting, waste management, wastewater discharge, permitting, and environmental assessments.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions through resolution.
• Conduct job safety analyses and risk assessments for work processes and new equipment, recommending mitigation measures.
• Lead the site security program and ensure personnel, assets, and property are protected.
• Maintain operational safety metrics, analyze incident trends, and escalate resource needs to senior leadership.
• Train and advise operations leaders and staff on safety, environmental, cleanliness, and security standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with EHS programs in manufacturing and warehousing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• OSHA 30 certification or higher.
• Ability to maintain an onsite presence and participate in weekend and after-hours on-call rotations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, data analysis, problem-solving, and operational leadership skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in food, chemical, or health and beauty environments.
• Knowledge of air and wastewater permitting.
• OSHA 501 certification or higher.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP certification; SQL and advanced data analysis experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency; experience with Google Looker.
