Principal Procurement Partner, Technology (AI)

Salary: USD 123,200–154,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and applicable benefits

What you will do

• Own and execute category strategies across Technology and Product, including SaaS, cloud infrastructure, data and AI, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, developer tools, hardware, telecommunications, engineering services, and data licensing.
• Advise senior Technology and Product leaders on supplier selection, commercial models, market dynamics, demand management, build-versus-buy decisions, and sourcing strategy.
• Lead high-value sourcing initiatives from strategy and supplier evaluation through negotiation, contracting, implementation, and value realization.
• Develop business cases and negotiate technology agreements covering subscriptions, consumption-based pricing, enterprise licenses, committed spend, service levels, intellectual property rights, renewals, and risk protections.
• Use supplier benchmarking, spend analysis, utilization data, and financial modeling to evaluate total cost of ownership and prepare executive recommendations.
• Manage strategic suppliers and collaborate with Technology, Product, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Information Security while mentoring Procurement teammates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, supply chain, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in technology strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, vendor management, or a related commercial function.
• Experience developing technology category strategies and leading complex, high-value sourcing initiatives through implementation and value realization.
• Deep procurement experience across SaaS, cloud services, enterprise licensing, data and AI, cybersecurity, hardware, telecommunications, developer tools, or technology services.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex technology agreements and commercial models, with strong financial and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, executive engagement, stakeholder influence, and third-party risk management capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience in sports betting, iGaming, fantasy sports, technology, financial services, or another regulated industry.
• Experience using analytics, AI, automation, or procurement technologies.
