Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (AI)

Location: Onsite at one of Suno's offices in NYC or San Francisco; applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

Salary: $200,000–$275,000 annual salary plus target equity and benefits.

Suno is an AI-native consumer entertainment company building a creative music platform used by everyone from casual creators to Grammy-winning musicians.

What you will do

• Define sourcing strategies with business teams by identifying key vendors, tooling gaps, duplicated tools, and unused spend.
• Forecast demand, understand technical requirements, evaluate suppliers, and translate company growth into sourcing leverage.
• Personally negotiate major vendor agreements and provide spend-management tools and techniques across the company.
• Build intake and vendor contract systems that manage commitments and surface renewals according to spend, risk, and usage.
• Partner with Security/IT and Legal to complete security reviews and legal term reviews for relevant vendors.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and/or FinOps, ideally in high-growth technology companies.
• Direct negotiation experience with cloud providers and security or monitoring software, with a history of demonstrated cost wins.
• Ability to partner with diverse internal stakeholders, diagnose over-provisioning with engineering teams, and identify relevant legal terms in order forms and MSAs.
• History of successfully deploying sourcing systems that improve collaboration and provide clarity on spend and usage.
• Collaboration, curiosity, and creativity, with an interest in reimagining sourcing and spend culture rather than following only defined processes.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a fast pace, a bias toward action over perfection, and the ability to use AI to empower yourself and others.

Nice to have

• Experience setting and managing budgets for office management and real estate buildouts.
• Experience working at both scrappy startups and scaled organizations.
• Experience building and maintaining AI-powered sourcing tools and playbooks for redlining, negotiation preparation, benchmarking, and vendor reporting.
• Experience with IPO readiness.
• Experience working with inference providers.
