Full Stack Engineer (Python/React)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 106,000–132,000 base annually

What you will do

• Build and deploy end-to-end web applications using Python, RESTful APIs, React, and TypeScript.
• Design proprietary insurance pricing solutions involving algorithms, modeling, and data visualizations.
• Translate business needs into secure, high-quality production features with product management.
• Manage the full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture to proofs of concept, deployment, and testing.
• Maintain existing applications in alignment with established SLOs and contribute to agile ceremonies, RFCs, ADRs, and peer reviews.
• Improve observability and reliability through logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and incident analysis.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on full-stack development experience with React, TypeScript, Python-based APIs, and a major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, or Celery.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows such as GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization, relational databases, and technical communication.

Nice to have

• Exposure to LLMs and AI development tools such as Claude or Copilot.
• Data engineering experience or familiarity with NumPy, pandas, or Polars.
• Experience with TanStack, React Hook Form, or Vite.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Redis.
