Facilities Technician

What you will do

• Maintain, test, and repair mechanical equipment, systems, and components.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles.
• Restore dry cleaning equipment, boilers, chillers, generators, air compressors, steam tunnels, finishing equipment, auto baggers, conveyors, and sorters to operational status.
• Follow standard operating procedures, production guidelines, cleanliness requirements, and safety standards.
• Identify and escalate operational issues while cooperating with team members and leadership.
• Perform physically active work, including climbing, bending, pushing and pulling bins, and repetitive movements throughout the shift.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of trade experience in plumbing, electrical work, refrigeration, HVAC, or electrical controls.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
• Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheet software and Google Docs, plus the ability to operate warehouse tools such as scanners.
• Ability to operate machinery quickly, accurately, and safely, including sewing, pressing, and cleaning machines.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions, analyze problems, and make independent decisions.
• Self-discipline, attention to detail, urgency, and familiarity with warehouse systems and software.

Nice to have

• Experience in a dry cleaning operation.
