Logistics BI Analyst (Power BI)

Location: Batu Kawan, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do

• Partner independently with logistics stakeholders to identify requirements and propose BI, data, and AI solutions.
• Design, develop, maintain, and support BI and AI solutions using Power BI and approved analytics platforms.
• Translate business problems into analytical models, dashboards, and actionable insights for operational and strategic decisions.
• Own end-to-end delivery, including requirements clarification, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
• Communicate project progress, provide status updates, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Provide technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and hands-on training within the Logistics COE.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of professional industry experience.
• Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts and hands-on Power BI proficiency.
• Solid Python programming skills applied to data analysis, automation, and AI use cases.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and transform them into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
• Ability to work onsite at the Penang SDSM Office in Batu Kawan, Malaysia.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional BI tools such as Tableau.
• Experience supporting logistics, supply chain, or operations analytics.
• Exposure to enterprise data platforms, data lakes, or AI enablement tools.
• Experience mentoring or upskilling peers in BI or analytics technologies.
