Head of Data Center Architecture (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, with an office in Helsinki, Finland or London, UK, or remote; regular travel to data center sites is required.

What you will do

• Define reference designs for high-density data center halls, including rack layouts, power distribution, busway topology, structured cabling, network fabrics, airflow, and liquid-cooling systems.
• Produce floor plans, rack elevations, technical specifications, power and cooling schematics, cable schedules, and deployment documentation.
• Own, version, and cost detailed deployment Bills of Materials covering servers, switches, PDUs, cabling, transceivers, and ancillary equipment.
• Coordinate with procurement, hardware partners, and OEM/ODM suppliers to manage specifications, substitutions, lead times, and logistics.
• Establish repeatable standards, naming conventions, labeling schemes, rack-and-stack runbooks, and operational handover criteria across sites.
• Lead design reviews and expansions while balancing density, power, cooling capacity, cost, deployment speed, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience designing high-density data center white space at scale, including rack layouts, power distribution, structured cabling, and cooling.
• Experience deploying GPU or HPC systems such as HGX, NVL, or DGX-class platforms with InfiniBand or high-radix Ethernet fabrics.
• Experience with liquid-cooled racks and direct-to-chip or rear-door cooling is expected.
• Strong command of build drawings and documentation, including floor plans, rack elevations, power and cooling schematics, cable schedules, and cabling standards.
• Experience owning detailed hardware BOMs, working with procurement and OEM/ODM partners, and managing design standards, reviews, and operational handovers.
• Leadership experience building or managing a technical team while remaining hands-on in technical details.
