Senior Site Reliability Engineer (AWS/GCP)

Location: Remote from Toronto, Canada

Salary: CAD 140,000–182,000/year base pay, with a possible additional bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Improve infrastructure tooling and automation to reduce manual work, increase performance, and reduce incident frequency and severity.
• Build, maintain, and support core applications across a multi-cloud, multi-region active-active content-serving platform.
• Monitor capacity and performance, investigate system issues, and troubleshoot incidents.
• Collaborate with the SRE team and partner teams to support reliable service delivery and technical strategy.
• Identify systemic weaknesses and opportunities for platform improvement with a high level of autonomy.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an SRE or Software Engineer focused on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience building scalable, resilient services and the tooling and automation used to operate them.
• Experience architecting and leading observability platforms, including observability standards and SLO frameworks.
• Experience with Kubernetes cluster operations, multi-tenancy strategies, and container orchestration best practices; the platform uses EKS and GKE.
• Experience with a high-level programming language such as NodeJS, Go, Ruby, or Python, plus shell scripting.
• Linux experience and readiness to work in an on-call environment are required.
