Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States

Base salary: $87,400–$123,400 per year

What you will do

• Establish service-level indicators, monitoring, and proactive alerts for production services.
• Ensure high availability, resilience, and scalability of containerized applications.
• Analyze incidents, identify root causes, troubleshoot system and deployment issues, and create runbooks.
• Manage observability in Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS, and support production releases.
• Lead capacity planning and infrastructure right-sizing exercises.
• Maintain and optimize infrastructure as code in a GitOps-driven environment while collaborating with development teams.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Experience maintaining highly available and resilient AWS infrastructure, including EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, and VPC.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, production incident detection, and response systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• AWS, Kubernetes, or relevant professional certifications.
• Experience with observability and APM tools such as Datadog, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
• Programming experience with shell, Go, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience supporting Java Spring Boot applications and production Kubernetes environments, especially EKS.
