Director of Infrastructure (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Primarily onsite in Orangeville, Utah, with significant involvement in engineering and construction activities; approximately 25% travel to Los Angeles is expected. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of civil, structural, architectural, site development, and utilities infrastructure packages.
• Translate reactor system requirements into constructable, field-ready designs and support construction execution.
• Manage external engineering firms, vendors, consultants, and contractors while owning output, quality, schedule, and constructability.
• Build and scale the internal infrastructure engineering function, including teams, standards, systems, and repeatable site design packages.
• Integrate infrastructure work with nuclear, mechanical, electrical, piping, and construction teams.
• Support permitting, local approvals, field issue resolution, and iteration-based improvements in cost, schedule, and constructability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 6–10+ years delivering constructed civil, structural, or site infrastructure projects, including large-scale sites, major concrete or utility work, or multi-acre developments.
• Experience taking projects from design through construction, including field support and real-time issue resolution.
• Proven ability to manage external engineering firms and own technical deliverables as both an individual contributor and leader.
• Strong knowledge of site development, utilities, grading, drainage, and building systems, plus experience with Utah or similar permitting and regulatory environments.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with design-build, EPC, or integrated project delivery.
• Experience developing standardized design systems, understanding construction cost drivers, and building internal engineering teams and processes.
