Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid policy requires staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time, with frequent travel of 25–50% to customer sites.

What you will do

• Build production applications with Claude models inside customer systems.
• Deliver production-ready technical artifacts, including MCP servers, sub-agents, and agent skills.
• Provide hands-on deployment support for Anthropic products in enterprise environments.
• Identify repeatable deployment patterns and share implementation insights with Product and Engineering.
• Build long-term customer relationships and identify new opportunities for AI deployment.
• Travel frequently to customer sites and represent Anthropic in enterprise environments.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role, software engineering with consulting experience, or a comparable background.
• Native French and fluent English.
• Production experience with LLMs, including advanced prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience shipping production applications; additional languages such as TypeScript or Java are beneficial.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, collaborate across organizations, and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Background in financial services, healthcare, life sciences, or another enterprise vertical.
• Experience with enterprise IT systems or AI deployment patterns.
• Experience as a technical founder.
