Manufacturing Technician, Casting Finishing

Location: Onsite at the Cincinnati, Ohio facility; the posting header also lists Loveland, Ohio. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Operate hand grinders, belt grinders, rotary tools, pneumatic tools, and other manual finishing equipment.
• Remove flash, gates, risers, burrs, excess material, and other imperfections from metal castings.
• Finish parts according to work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and process requirements.
• Visually inspect castings, identify defects or nonconforming material, and segregate or escalate issues.
• Maintain lot, material, and part traceability and complete production and quality documentation.
• Follow safety and PPE requirements, maintain an organized work area, and collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience in foundry, casting, metalworking, aerospace manufacturing, or a similar production environment.
• Experience with grinding, deburring, blending, polishing, or other metal-finishing operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, work instructions, process specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Familiarity with abrasives, grinding wheels, belt grinders, pneumatic tools, and basic dimensional inspection.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. Ability to stand for extended periods and handle parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
