Autonomous Vehicle Test Technician (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Henderson, Colorado, United States; primarily onsite at an Advanced Testing Facility. The role includes travel of up to 20% for field work, training, or customer support.

Hourly wage: $25.00–$30.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Execute system test missions for autonomous trucks to verify performance and safety across software, robotic arms, sensors, and electric vehicle platforms.
• Schedule and launch missions with AV Test Operators while monitoring multiple software tools in real time.
• Perform root-cause analysis and document issues identified during testing.
• Operate yard workflows and assign trailer-move requests to autonomous yard trucks.
• Provide accurate, timely vehicle-level test data to design, hardware, software, integration, systems, and testing teams.
• Conduct safety inspections, communicate test results, support product demonstrations, and train new technicians and operators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar technical discipline.
• Experience testing automotive, aerospace, autonomous vehicle, robotic, or industrial automation products.
• Experience in an R&D, system test, or engineering environment.
• Basic familiarity with Linux and command-line operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and positive references.
• Comfort working onsite in an industrial warehouse environment around autonomous trucks, including physical work and varying weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles, or complex electronic and robotic systems.
• Experience with reliability or durability testing, software development life cycle practices, continuous integration, or modern system-testing methods.
• Experience monitoring multiple software tools simultaneously in a real-time environment.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Google Suite.
• Knowledge of yard operations, intermodal logistics, or freight transportation.
