Performance Library Engineer (AI/ML)

Salary: $130,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Create and optimize performance-critical libraries and frameworks for the Fabric processor.
• Develop, debug, and maintain low-level C/C++ systems code with clean interfaces and modular architecture.
• Analyze and maximize software performance on a dataflow hardware architecture.
• Design frameworks, libraries, benchmarks, and performance profiling tools for resource-constrained and real-time environments.
• Collaborate with compiler and embedded engineering teams, providing feedback on compiler enhancements and performance tools.
• Work on hardware/software co-design and applications for customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience working closely with hardware and exposure to at least two RISC, DSP, or GPU platforms.
• Experience with framework and library design in resource-constrained or real-time environments.
• Experience with CUDA, HIP, or other parallel programming models.
• Strong C/C++ systems-level programming, debugging, performance profiling, benchmark design, or comparative hardware analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical systems clearly and collaborate across multiple engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Exposure to PTX, LLVM IR, or MLIR.
• Expertise in two or more areas including linear algebra, machine learning, image processing, signal processing, audio processing, SDR, real-time programming, or robotics.
