Director, Analyst Relations (AI)

Location: Onsite at C3 AI headquarters in Redwood City, California, United States.

Salary: $202,000–$240,000 USD annual base pay, plus benefits, competitive compensation, and an equity plan.

What you will do

• Own, lead, and scale the Analyst Relations function, including the annual strategy, engagement calendar, budget, subscriptions, and access to analyst inquiries.
• Identify target analysts and firms, build coverage maps, define engagement plans, and lead briefings, inquiries, advisory sessions, and strategy days.
• Lead participation in Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave, IDC MarketScape, and other industry evaluations across the full lifecycle, including RFIs, demos, customer references, briefings, and submissions.
• Build tailored product and customer narratives, briefing decks, talk tracks, and messaging frameworks; prepare and coach executives and subject-matter experts.
• Translate analyst feedback into competitive, product, and go-to-market intelligence and enable Sales to use analyst reports, rankings, and quotes.
• Define and report AR KPIs, including sentiment, mindshare, share of voice, evaluation trajectory, engagement volume, and pipeline influence.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field.
• 10+ years of experience in analytical enterprise or B2B environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading Analyst Relations for enterprise software companies.
• Demonstrated success improving positioning in Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave, or IDC MarketScape evaluations.
• Working expertise in analytics, AI/ML, deep learning, generative AI, and data science, with the ability to discuss technical topics credibly with analysts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including strong executive presence.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Customer, and executive leadership.
• Strong strategic thinking, program and project management, problem-solving, and bias for action.
• Passion for self-learning and staying current in relevant domains.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• MBA or Master of Science.
• Established relationships with analysts covering enterprise AI, data platforms, and enterprise software.
• Experience managing analyst-firm contracts, budgets, and an AR team or agency.
