Associate Director, DSPV Data, Technology and Innovation (AI)

Location: Fully remote; can be performed effectively from anywhere. Occasional travel for team meetings or events is expected.

What you will do

• Own hirify.global’s pharmacovigilance safety systems, including safety databases, signal and risk management tools, reporting platforms, and analytics systems.
• Define business requirements, configuration decisions, access controls, release priorities, system documentation, and vendor service expectations.
• Own the DSPV technology roadmap and lead technology evaluations, business cases, implementations, migrations, validation, user acceptance testing, training, cutover, and legacy system retirement.
• Design DSPV dashboards, reports, compliance metrics, case-processing analytics, and data requirements in partnership with IT and the enterprise data platform team.
• Identify and manage AI use cases for pharmacovigilance, defining pilot success criteria, data requirements, performance monitoring, and human-review controls.
• Coordinate with IT, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, enterprise data, and AI teams to support compliant safety operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, computational, health-related, or information systems discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company, including at least 5 years working with pharmacovigilance systems, safety data, or PV analytics.
• Experience as a business owner, system owner, or business lead for an industry-standard safety database such as Oracle Argus, ArisGlobal LifeSphere/ARISg, or Veeva Vault Safety.
• Experience implementing safety systems, leading safety data migrations, managing technology projects, and working with technology vendors.
• Experience with computer system validation, user acceptance testing, change control, MedDRA, E2B, ICH standards, and global PV regulations in a regulated GxP environment.
• Understanding of AI and data systems, including data pipelines, integrations, model evaluation, performance monitoring, and acceptance criteria; SQL and familiarity with enterprise data platforms are required.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Practical experience with AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or real-world evidence in pharmacovigilance or clinical development.
• Familiarity with R, Python, or SAS.
