AI Content Engineer (AI)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States. U.S. Person status is required, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, Asylee, or Refugee.

Salary: $98,000–$143,000 annually for positions based in Colorado. The role is also incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and deploy AI applications, agents, and automated workflows for technical documentation.
• Develop AI-enabled content pipelines that transform developer documentation, API specifications, and product information into customer-facing content.
• Integrate documentation repositories, publishing platforms, source control systems, APIs, and enterprise tools.
• Build agentic workflows and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers connecting AI applications with documentation systems and technical content.
• Move reusable AI capabilities from prototype to reliable production deployment with testing, evaluation, observability, safeguards, and human oversight.
• Partner with technical writers, engineers, product teams, and support teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver practical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Production software engineering experience building, integrating, and supporting applications, services, or automation.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI, AI agents, agentic workflows, tool or function calling, and process automation.
• Strong programming skills in Python or another modern programming language, including API, SDK, web service, and structured data integrations.
• Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD, application observability, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for translating ambiguous business needs into technical solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with technical documentation, developer content, content operations, knowledge management, or customer support automation.
• Experience developing MCP servers or integrating MCP-enabled tools and resources.
• Experience with API documentation platforms, OpenAPI, documentation-as-code, structured content, or publishing pipelines.
• Experience designing evaluation, governance, or human-in-the-loop approaches for LLM applications.
• Understanding of technical writing, information architecture, developer documentation, and content lifecycle practices.
