Regional Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Location: Tampa, Florida; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays; travel across the region up to 60%

Salary: $84,740–$118,860 annual base salary

What you will do

• Coordinate environmental health and safety processes across commercial sales and service offices and regional jobsites.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, jobsite visits, and safety concern reviews with field technicians and contractors.
• Maintain safety, occupational health, environmental, training, PPE, inspection, and regulatory records in compliance with applicable requirements and company procedures.
• Deliver new-hire, annual, high-risk, and other regional safety training, including PPE implementation and qualified-person training.
• Investigate injuries, near misses, incidents, and accidents; coordinate corrective and preventive actions and safety committee activities.
• Use Benchmark Gensuite and other business platforms to manage inspections, reports, action items, contractor qualification, workers’ compensation administration, and return-to-work programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental or Safety Sciences/Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of practical environmental health and safety management experience at a medium-to-large site preferred.
• Knowledge of Cal-OSHA, EPA, MSHA, DOT, and federal, state, local, and environmental safety standards.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; bilingual ability is an asset.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and EHS data management systems such as Gensuite.
• Ability to motivate and influence others, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing circumstances.

Nice to have

• Safety-related certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHSM.
