Principal Product Manager (AI)

Location: Remote-first within the United States, with preference for candidates in Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, or other cities with hirify.global offices.

Salary: $164,000–$247,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive and long-term incentives.

hirify.global develops engineering and manufacturing businesses and is supporting Reflow, an AI-powered platform for hardware product development.

What you will do

• Own product execution end to end, from customer discovery and requirements through specifications, PRDs, and shipment.
• Run discovery with early adopters across internal and external hardware companies and translate program workflows into product capabilities.
• Represent the hardware domain with electrical, mechanical, systems, and program engineering stakeholders.
• Drive the roadmap, set realistic timelines, communicate commitments, and deliver against planned dates.
• Write clear product specifications, updates, and customer-facing materials.
• Prototype and demo early product concepts, collect user feedback, and iterate quickly.

Requirements

• Direct experience running hardware program execution as an NPI or hardware program manager, hardware, systems, or EE lead, or product manager embedded in hardware development.
• Demonstrated 0-to-1 experience taking a new hardware or software product from a blank page to shipment.
• Track record of high output, decisive execution, and consistent shipping.
• Excellent written communication and ability to turn complex problems into concise, actionable specifications.
• Strong deadline discipline, deep credibility with hardware engineers and program teams, and comfort using AI tools to accelerate work.

Nice to have

• Experience building software for engineers or manufacturing, including PLM, MES, EDA, ALM, or developer tools.
• Hands-on experience building AI- or LLM-powered products.
• Early-stage startup and 0-to-1 experience.
• Technical ability to prototype with scripting or wireframing tools.
• Fluency with the hardware NPI lifecycle, including EVT, DVT, PVT, ECRs, ECOs, BOM, and PLM workflows.
