Principal Product Designer (AI)

What you will do

• Own product design for defined feature areas from problem framing through production-ready Figma files.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers in a cross-functional squad and make design decisions based on evidence.
• Plan and conduct user interviews, JTBD analysis, and journey mapping, translating findings into design direction.
• Design AI-driven features with prompts, fallbacks, risk awareness, and human-in-the-loop interactions.
• Contribute reusable components and patterns to the hirify.global design system.
• Apply WCAG 2.1+ accessibility standards and design for edge cases, error states, and real-world data.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of end-to-end product design experience, from discovery through shipped products.
• Ability to independently plan research, conduct interviews, synthesize findings, and define design direction.
• Experience making decisions in cross-functional squads alongside engineers and product managers.
• Strong Figma skills and visual design craft.
• Experience applying accessibility constraints from the beginning of the design process.
• Ability to measure design outcomes using task success rates, support ticket volume, adoption, or similar signals.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping AI-driven features involving prompts, fallbacks, and human-in-the-loop moments.
• Familiarity with design tokens, contribution models, and system-level design.
• Experience using funnel data, A/B results, or other quantitative signals.
