Quality Manager, Microwave Line (Aerospace)

Location: Syracuse, New York; 100% on-site at 6635 Kirkville Road. Work hours are 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility for extended hours and weekends. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Salary: $108,549–$190,896 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Quality Engineers, Quality Technicians, and the Calibration Program Manager.
• Ensure product compliance across RF microwave and microelectronic assembly operations from design interface through customer delivery.
• Oversee First Article Inspection activities under AS9102 and maintain measurement-system calibration.
• Support the AS9100/IA9100 Quality Management System, engineering changes, audits, corrective actions, and customer quality issues.
• Track quality KPIs including scrap, yield, on-time delivery, and customer escapes, using data to drive systemic improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using FMEA, 8D, DMAIC, Six Sigma, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, error proofing, and related tools.

Requirements

• 6+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in aerospace and defense microelectronics or microwave assembly.
• BS degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of RF microwave or microelectronic assembly processes and process controls.
• Experience with AS9100/IA9100, J-STD-001, IPC-610, AS9102, APQP/PPAP, FMEA, root cause analysis, SPC, and quality planning.
• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.
• Good English communication skills required.

Nice to have

• IPC certification.
• AS9100, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 auditor certification.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
