Designer / Design Engineer (Automotive)

An independent automotive technology and electronics company developing sensor solutions, displays, braking and comfort systems, software platforms, and assistance systems for software-defined vehicles.

What you will do

• Develop and detail automotive components and assemblies, with a focus on braking-system components.
• Create, review, and update technical drawings and product documentation.
• Build 3D models and develop products using CAD tools.
• Analyze interfaces, tolerances, fits, and assembly requirements.
• Contribute to product changes and improvements focused on performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, suppliers, and prototype, validation, and industrialization teams.

Requirements

• Technical or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in automotive product development, preferably with braking systems.
• Strong knowledge of technical drawings, GD&T, manufacturing processes, and mechanical component modeling and detailing.
• Technical English proficiency for interpreting technical documentation, specifications, and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
• Proactive ownership, attention to detail, adaptability, and continuous learning in automotive technologies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of CATIA.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
