Design Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Design and develop structural chassis components for a common automotive platform.
• Create, modify, and maintain 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5.
• Develop brackets, frame components, cross members, cast components, forged components, and other structural mechanical parts.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and support simulation activities.
• Develop, establish, and follow up on test and validation plans.
• Investigate product and field-quality issues while coordinating activities from initial design through implementation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in design engineering and mechanical product development.
• Previous experience in the automotive industry and the end client's development environment.
• Strong practical experience with CATIA V5 and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Practical experience with GD&T, tolerance chain analysis, and structural mechanical components.
• Experience designing steel, cast, forged, bracket, and other structural components.
• Fluent English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
