Electrical Integration and Test Engineer (Spacecraft)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA. Applicants must be a U.S. Person, including a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual, and must be eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

What you will do

• Plan and execute integration and testing of flight and non-flight electrical systems from component and subsystem through spacecraft level.
• Write test plans and procedures for GNC, RF communications, power distribution, and thermal and propulsion control systems.
• Automate test execution and data collection using Python, LabVIEW, and related tools.
• Lead test campaigns, including readiness reviews, anomaly response teams, and post-test reviews.
• Design electrical test fixtures and ground support equipment and support off-site testing at external facilities.
• Collaborate with payload, systems, electrical, mechanical, software, and program management teams to define interfaces and certify spacecraft for flight.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant integration and test experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting complex electrical systems and preparing test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Experience writing, debugging, and executing Python or similar programming-language scripts.
• Operational knowledge of bench power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
• Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams and maintain equipment and personnel safety during integration.

Nice to have

• Experience with safety-critical systems, spacecraft or satellite integration and test campaigns, and environmental testing such as thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC, and vibration.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD or NASA GEVS testing standards.
• Experience with Altium or similar electronic design software, electrical test fixtures, ground support equipment, PCB assembly, harness fabrication, or inspection processes.
• Experience in a 100K or ISO8 cleanroom and IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620 certification.
• Adaptability and self-direction in a startup environment.
