Engineer, Product Development Engineering (SSD)

Location: Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do

• Design and execute test strategies and plans that optimize test time, yield, quality, and factory costs.
• Lead cross-functional engineering solutions and implement new test platforms and technologies.
• Drive Test Time Reduction, CAPEX reduction, test-program improvements, and test-infrastructure enhancements.
• Lead electrical failure analysis for RMA, production, reliability, and DPPM improvement.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical reports, work instructions, equipment guidelines, test reports, and specifications.
• Lead NPI projects and transfer test technology to mass production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
• Deep understanding of SSD or non-volatile memory testing methods, failure mechanisms, and failure-analysis techniques.
• Ability to read, understand, and write Python, SQL, C++, and Java.
• Ability to lead a technical team, work independently, solve complex problems, and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication, collaboration, critical-thinking, and continuous-improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Universal Flash Storage protocol testing.
• Knowledge of FMEA, DMAIC, fishbone diagrams, SPC, SBL, and SYL.
