Senior Firmware Engineer (Clean Energy)

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop and optimize firmware for hardware devices, including edge optimization on constrained systems.
• Design, implement, and test high-performance subsystems across the embedded stack, from bootloader to application firmware.
• Develop platform firmware for flash file systems, communication stacks, build tools, and other system components.
• Port and maintain an RTOS and build component firmware that integrates with the broader Lunar system.
• Drive system architecture discussions, participate in code reviews, and collaborate on design and development.
• Support system testing, reliability, and manufacturing teams through specialized firmware features, debugging, and performance analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development and architecture experience across the lifecycle from prototype to production.
• Experience developing in C for bare-metal systems and/or RTOS environments.
• Experience implementing power electronics firmware control functionality.
• Ability to integrate hardware and software into end-to-end solutions.
• Experience contributing to multidisciplinary teams using modern software engineering practices such as Git and continuous integration.
• Ability to work effectively in a small, fast-moving team and take initiative.
