Associate Manager - UI/UX

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end user experience quality across strategic accounts, including research, journeys, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
• Own enterprise design system lifecycles covering design tokens, Figma component libraries, usage guidelines, governance, contribution models, versioning, and adoption metrics.
• Architect reusable, accessible UI component libraries in Storybook and define standards for component APIs, theming, documentation, and Figma-to-code parity.
• Establish Storybook quality gates for visual regression, accessibility, interaction testing, and component documentation.
• Act as a senior design-side advisor for client teams and partner with delivery leads, architects, and account teams.
• Manage and develop designers, design technologists, and UI engineers across onshore and offshore teams while supporting proposals and service growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of UX/UI design and front-end experience delivery, including 3+ years leading design system or design experience teams.
• Proven ownership of enterprise design systems with tokens, Figma libraries, governance, and large-scale adoption.
• Hands-on experience architecting Storybook-based component libraries with React, Web Components, and CSS architecture.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards, responsive design, and design quality assurance.
• Excellent stakeholder management, design storytelling, executive presence, client relationship management, and team leadership skills.
• Experience in life sciences, pharma, or regulated content environments is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Adobe AEM, Edge Delivery Services, AJO, DAM, and Figma-to-AEM automation.
• Experience with Style Dictionary, Chromatic, CI-integrated Storybook, and design token pipelines.
• Exposure to MLR and regulatory review workflows and multi-brand, multi-market content operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification; an advanced degree is a plus.
