Senior Software Engineer (React)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite Monday through Friday. Not eligible for current visa sponsorship or relocation.

Salary: $158,400–$237,600 per year, with a midpoint target of $198,000.

What you will do

• Design and ship customer-facing web applications integrated with fleet management, authentication, and core platform APIs.
• Build reliable REST and gRPC interfaces with clean data contracts and thoughtful versioning.
• Scale the web-to-edge bridge using Google Cloud Platform and scalable database architectures.
• Develop complex, data-heavy React interfaces with strong state management and high-performance rendering.
• Own major initiatives end-to-end, from design and technology selection through production delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to design reviews.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong React and modern frontend expertise, including component architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
• Experience building web applications integrated with backend services, including REST/gRPC APIs, authentication, and real-time data.
• Experience designing production APIs and scaling web applications for larger data volumes or growing user bases.
• Working knowledge of Go, Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/Node, or another modern backend language, plus familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Azure and modern database architectures.
