Lead, Facilities Development Planning, Production (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite 4 to 5 days per week at the Long Beach, California facility. Candidates must be eligible to work with U.S. defense-related space technology under ITAR regulations.

Base salary: $150,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the strategic design and build-out of manufacturing and production facility infrastructure in partnership with Production Engineering.
• Develop production line layouts and challenge them against long-term operational, flexibility, cost, throughput, and speed objectives.
• Support master planning for engineering program locations and manage long-lead infrastructure requirements.
• Develop, implement, and govern production facility standards across multiple sites.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and internal partners while holding them accountable for required data and deliverables.
• Own facility scopes for line build-out projects from concept through commissioning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or critical infrastructure design.
• Degree in architecture, engineering, or construction.
• Deep technical fluency in production line design, infrastructure requirements, and manufacturing facility build-out.
• Experience with master planning, long-lead requirements, facility standards, and scaling production facilities in a high-growth environment.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive progress with incomplete information, and manage cross-functional partners and external vendors.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required for ITAR-controlled technology.

• Experience designing or delivering secure production environments.
• Professional licensure, such as PE or RA.
