Salary: $136,000–$204,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Lead a team of engineers developing valves and associated fluid-control systems for Terran R.
  • Guide components through design, analysis, development, testing, manufacturing, and production.
  • Apply thermodynamics, structural, fluid, and electrical engineering principles to component development.
  • Coordinate with Propulsion, Avionics, and Stage Fluids teams to integrate components into the broader vehicle.
  • Own complex interdisciplinary projects and drive them to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Recruit, mentor, and support the career development of engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and analyzing fluid-control devices, valves, and/or mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated leadership through mentoring, complex interdisciplinary projects, continuous improvement, or hiring.
  • Experience applying engineering fundamentals in thermodynamics, structures, and fluids.
  • Hands-on experience with fluid and structural development testing and manufacturing.
  • Experience leading projects or small teams and owning projects from school or work experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience in rocket engine development or testing.
  • Experience designing and manufacturing valves, regulators, actuators, motors, or solenoids.
  • Experience designing and testing cryogenic systems and components.
  • Knowledge of powder-bed additive manufacturing.
  • Prior aerospace experience is welcome but not required.
