Senior AI Engineer (AI)

hirify.global is rebuilding the infrastructure of the global travel industry by developing technology for airline bookings, payments, APIs, and intelligent travel experiences.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own the core AI platform, including orchestration engines, runtimes, and reusable agent primitives.
• Define technical direction, engineering patterns, development workflows, and best practices for AI systems across the company.
• Build retrieval, grounding, evaluation, memory, and personalisation systems for accurate, reliable, and continuously improving AI agents.
• Develop production AI agents that reason over complex travel workflows and safely interact with hirify.global APIs.
• Influence architecture, mentor engineers, and help establish hirify.global’s long-term AI strategy.

Requirements

• Significant experience designing and shipping production AI systems, agentic workflows, or LLM-powered products.
• Experience with AI infrastructure such as orchestration frameworks, retrieval systems, evaluation pipelines, or memory architectures.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience designing scalable, reliable systems; the stack includes Elixir on the backend and TypeScript on the frontend.
• Ability to take ambiguous technical problems from zero to one and influence technical direction across teams.
• Strong judgement when balancing experimentation with long-term platform investment, plus excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work from the London office on Tuesdays and Thursdays is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with travel technology, airline systems, or online marketplaces.
• Experience with AI evaluation frameworks, multi-agent systems, production RAG architectures, AI observability, or monitoring.
• Experience building developer platforms or internal AI tooling.
