Control Systems Engineer

Location: Onsite in Wimborne, Dorset, United Kingdom, five days a week

Salary: £41,500–£51,000 annually, depending on skills and experience

What you will do

• Design advanced electrical control systems and integrate electrical and mechanical systems.
• Develop software and procedures to control and improve the performance of electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices.
• Design and prototype mechatronic devices using motors, solenoids, gears, sensors, and springs.
• Collaborate with scientists on system development and performance improvements.
• Identify and address weaknesses in finished products.
• Support product testing and technical troubleshooting across hardware, software, and operations.

Requirements

• Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science program.
• Basic understanding of embedded systems and their applications.
• Knowledge of analytical thinking and root-cause analysis techniques.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and adapt explanations to the audience.
• Understanding of technical troubleshooting approaches and product testing methods.
