Technical Sourcer (Contract)

Apex manufactures satellite buses at scale through software, vertical integration, and manufacturing-focused hardware for customers in earth observation, communications, and other space applications.

What you will do

• Build and maintain pipelines of passive and active candidates for technical, engineering, production, supply chain, and business operations roles.
• Develop multi-channel sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and x-ray search, GitHub, technical communities, referrals, events, and aerospace networks.
• Identify and engage specialized talent across spacecraft systems, avionics, propulsion, GNC, structures, thermal, and flight software.
• Conduct outreach and pre-screens covering technical fit, motivation, compensation alignment, and availability.
• Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and engineering leadership on intake sessions, calibration, talent mapping, and market intelligence.
• Maintain ATS records and report on response rates, conversions, and pipeline health.

Requirements

• 5+ years of sourcing or full-cycle recruiting experience focused on technical and engineering roles.
• Proven experience sourcing hard-to-fill specialized technical talent in competitive markets.
• Expert proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and x-ray search, and modern sourcing techniques.
• Experience partnering with technical hiring managers, running role intake and calibration, and maintaining data-driven ATS pipelines.
• Excellent written communication and candidate engagement skills, with the ability to learn complex technical domains quickly.
• Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles, California and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing for aerospace, defense, hardware, robotics, or other deep-tech organizations.
• Familiarity with ITAR/EAR considerations, U.S. person requirements, or security clearances.
• Experience sourcing across mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing disciplines.
• Background supporting high-volume or rapid-scale hiring.
• Experience with Gem, ZoomInfo, Ashby, Juicebox, or similar sourcing and CRM tools.
