What you will do

• Architect coherent optical line card solutions, including requirements definition, functional partitioning, and system-level modeling.
• Define architectural requirements for optical protection methods and coherent modem-based systems.
• Evaluate high-speed hardware architectures using 400/800/1600GE+ connectivity, SerDes, pluggable optics, and backplane or fabric integration.
• Define interactions across hardware, firmware, software, and management interfaces throughout product development.
• Guide system integration, hardware characterization, modem validation, software bring-up, and interoperability testing.
• Lead end-to-end validation based on customer use cases, investigate complex technical issues, and document architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in hardware, system design, or system support within optical networking or related high-speed technologies.
• Experience defining system architectures and making technical decisions across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience with coherent optical systems, line card architecture, optical protection architectures, and high-speed signal integrity.
• Knowledge of networking protocols including Ethernet 400/800/1600GE+ and OTN.
• Experience with synchronization technologies including PTP and SyncE, supported by strong analytical and communication skills.
