Director, Order to Cash (Healthcare)

Location: Remote for candidates located within the New York City, Minneapolis–St. Paul, or Washington, DC–Baltimore metropolitan areas. Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3–5 billing and collections specialists.
• Own the full customer transaction lifecycle, including renewals, new business, upsells, downsells, terminations, order setup, invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Oversee billing operations, account reconciliations, GL coding, billing categorization, accounts receivable aging, and dispute resolution.
• Maintain billing data integrity across NetSuite and Salesforce, including subscription items and charge schedules.
• Build dashboards and executive reports covering collections rates, aging, DSO, cash trends, productivity, and process effectiveness.
• Standardize and automate order-to-cash workflows in partnership with Finance, Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Sales Ops, and RevOps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in billing, collections, revenue operations, or order-to-cash, including 5+ years leading a team.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite for invoicing, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Experience using Salesforce as a CRM and/or billing system of record.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and the GL impact of billing transactions, credits, and adjustments.
• Experience designing, documenting, and optimizing operational processes, with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to present executive-facing reports and dashboards and collaborate effectively with senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, homecare, Medicaid billing, payer billing, EVV, or healthcare accounts receivable.
• Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ, ZoneBilling, or similar billing tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with Customer Success, RevOps, or Sales teams.
