Director, RCM/RPM Audit (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Own independent audit coverage for Revenue Cycle Management and Remote Patient Monitoring.
• Design and execute audits of coding accuracy, claims integrity, billing submissions, payer contract adherence, and the full billing lifecycle.
• Audit RPM eligibility, consent documentation, onboarding, time tracking, CPT thresholds, and device use against CMS and payer requirements.
• Define findings, coordinate corrective action with Billing and RCM Operations, and confirm remediation is complete.
• Develop the annual audit work plan, present risk trends to compliance leadership and the Compliance Committee, and align monitoring with OIG Element 6.
• Build and lead a small RCM/RPM audit team while maintaining audit-ready documentation.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in healthcare compliance, revenue cycle, or coding audit.
• Demonstrated independence between audit work and compliance program design.
• Deep knowledge of CMS billing rules and RPM CPT requirements, including 99453, 99454, 99457, and 99458.
• Familiarity with OIG guidance on effective compliance programs, particularly Element 6.
• Ability to translate audit findings into executive-ready risk summaries and drive corrective action.
• Experience building functions from the ground up, with strong judgment and collaboration skills across Billing, RCM Operations, and Legal.

Nice to have

• Experience auditing telehealth or remote monitoring programs.
• CPC, CHC, CPCO, AHIMA coding credential, or equivalent.
