What you will do

  • Design and analyze orbital trajectories, including rendezvous, proximity operations, and formation flight.
  • Perform orbit determination, propagation, maneuver planning, validation, and delta-V budgeting.
  • Plan autonomous and ground-assisted proximity-operation sequences, abort strategies, and routine operational activities.
  • Develop flight-dynamics analysis tools, simulations, and autonomous closed-loop orbit-control algorithms.
  • Validate guidance concepts through Monte Carlo analysis, sensitivity studies, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Support launch and early-orbit operations, commissioning, and on-orbit activities in collaboration with AOCS, software, and mission-operations teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in space engineering, astrodynamics, physics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in the space industry.
  • Strong background in flight dynamics, including orbit determination and propagation, maneuver planning, and validation.
  • Experience with rendezvous and proximity operations or formation-flight design and analysis.
  • Understanding of satellite AOCS sensors and actuators, navigation filters, state estimation, and uncertainty assessment.
  • Proficiency in at least one technical programming language, such as Python or MATLAB, and experience with flight-dynamics tools such as GMAT, STK, or Orekit.

  • Experience with ECSS standards.
