Field Operations Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Remote - USA (Must be able to travel up to 75% nationwide)

Salary: $60,000 – $80,000

What you will do

• Lead operational readiness and field testing for emerging R&D products, focusing on drones and robotics.
• Execute hands-on installations and pilot testing in the field to refine product design and workflows.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Hardware Operations to create deployment playbooks and training materials.
• Standardize field processes during pilot phases before handing off to downstream teams.
• Track deployment metrics and hardware bugs to drive continuous improvements in R&D.

Requirements

• Must be able to travel up to 75% nationwide (typically Monday through Thursday).
• Proven track record in field engineering, robotics, or technical product deployment.
• Must hold or be able to obtain FAA Part 107 commercial drone pilot certification within 90 days.
• Experience with hands-on hardware fabrication, debugging, and field installations.
• Strong technical communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
