TL;DR
Assistant Buyer Home (Homeware): Supporting the development and management of QVC UK's homeware product range with an accent on buying, merchandising, supplier coordination, and sales and stock performance. Focus on managing product samples, critical paths, market analysis, product documentation, and safety and quality requirements.
Location: Hybrid role based at Chiswick Park, West London, UK, with onsite attendance required at least two days per week.

What you will do
- Support the Buyer and Junior Buyer in developing and managing the homeware product range against sales, margin, and stock objectives.
- Compile product, sales, trend, market, and competitor information for range reviews, strategy meetings, and promotional planning.
- Manage product samples and the sample library, coordinating product information for meetings, marketing activity, and promotional events.
- Monitor critical paths, maintain accurate product information, track deadlines, and communicate changes to stakeholders.
- Liaise with suppliers on samples, product queries, administrative processes, test reports, and product requirements.
- Prepare product paperwork, present weekly sales information, support merchandising discussions, and provide general departmental administration.
Requirements
- Previous experience in buying, merchandising, or retail administration, ideally in homeware or a related product category.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Good analytical skills and commercial awareness, including confidence working with sales data, reports, and merchandising information.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills for working with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proactive, flexible, detail-focused approach with confidence taking initiative and supporting problem solving.
