Field Service Engineer - Surgical Workplaces

Location: Field-based across the South West, South Wales and Midlands region of the UK; conditions list Birmingham, Derby and Cardiff. Travel up to 80% is required.

What you will do

• Service, test, repair and calibrate hirify.global equipment in hospitals and other customer facilities.
• Perform mechanical servicing and electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Produce service documentation, validation reports and accurate written or electronic reports.
• Manage spare-parts stock and respond to customer call-outs, enquiries and changing workloads.
• Communicate with customers, the Service Department, Technical Services and Service Managers.
• Follow quality, returns, non-conformance and on-site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Field-based work experience and experience in a maintenance environment.
• Experience servicing or testing medical devices to applicable standards is desirable.
• IT skills including Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems such as GForce.
• Strong organisational, communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required, with travel up to 80%.

Nice to have

• Experience in the medical, pharmaceutical or other process industry.
• HTM2030/01-06 or HTM2010/01-01 certification.
