Global Technical Manager - Business Assurance, Certification

Location: Fully remote; Madrid, Spain. Applicants must hold a valid work permit in their country of residence. International travel may be required.

What you will do

• Set the global technical and accreditation strategy for Business Assurance Certification.
• Lead global technical and accreditation functions and manage geographically dispersed specialists across multiple regions.
• Define, approve and enforce certification policies, technical requirements, accreditation controls and operating standards.
• Provide authoritative technical direction and make final decisions on disputes, interpretation issues, compliance risks and certification integrity.
• Manage relationships with global and local Accreditation Bodies, including UKAS, ANAB and SAS.
• Lead corrective-action governance and drive simplification, digitalisation and continuous improvement across certification systems and delivery models.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant certification and/or accreditation experience in an accredited third-party certification environment.
• Substantial global or multi-region management system certification leadership experience.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed and culturally diverse technical teams, including senior specialists across multiple countries or regions.
• Strong knowledge of management system certification and accreditation requirements, including ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO/IEC 17065, IAF and EA requirements.
• Proven ability to set technical policies, accreditation strategies and governance controls at regional or global level.
• Fluent written and spoken English required; a valid work permit in the country of residence is required.

Nice to have

• Experience at hirify.global, another global Certification Body or an Accreditation Body.
• Lead auditor, technical reviewer, certification decision-maker, trainer or scheme manager experience.
• Experience with digital transformation, automation, remote audit delivery or AI-enabled process improvement.
• Additional languages relevant to the hirify.global network or Accreditation Body engagement.
