HVAC Technician (Commercial HVAC)

Location: Newport News, Virginia; field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations

Salary: $23.80–$43.85 per hour

What you will do

• Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up commercial HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers on installations, repairs, materials, and on-site scheduling.
• Use software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to complete service work.
• Work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as business needs require.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain records for company-issued equipment and assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 5+ years of HVAC experience; technical school or formal training is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months with an acceptable driving record.
• EPA Certification required.
• This is a safety-sensitive role and may require additional drug screening.
