Associate Validation Engineer (High-Speed)

Location: Bristol, UK; hands-on laboratory work is required.

What you will do

• Support new product design meetings and develop test approaches for evaluating semiconductor products.
• Build validation solutions spanning software, hardware, and technical documentation.
• Select suitable bench-top test equipment and perform hands-on testing of optical components, ICs, and modules.
• Develop test automation software using Python or LabVIEW.
• Take high-speed laboratory measurements on products operating at data rates of 10Gbit/s and above.
• Contribute to validation reviews, reports, and signal-integrity work using Altium PCB tools.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, EE/ECE, or a closely related discipline.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; the role is designed for recent graduates.
• Curiosity about electronics, testing, and measurement, with a willingness to learn quickly.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, self-motivation, and a creative approach to problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced R&D environment.
