Senior Life Actuary (Life Insurance)

Location: New York City or Atlanta; hybrid

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 per year, plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Provide client-facing subject matter expertise, including model best-practice guidance, onboarding, issue resolution, and customer feedback.
• Run product demonstrations and proof-of-concept pilots for prospective clients.
• Design, build, and maintain Life, Annuity, and Health actuarial models and reports in SLOPE.
• Monitor regulatory updates and translate them into requirements for models and reports.
• Contribute to actuarial thought leadership through conferences, presentations, and webinars.
• Recommend and help prioritize platform features for the hirify.global Life team.

Requirements

• Fully qualified actuary (ASA/FSA or equivalent) with 7+ years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Experience with Life and Annuity products and STAT and GAAP regulations.
• Hands-on experience with actuarial modeling platforms such as SLOPE, AXIS, ALFA, or Prophet.
• Experience in valuation, product pricing, and/or asset/liability management.
• Strong modeling skills, interest in technology, excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaborative working abilities.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience building dashboards and reports with Sigma, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Familiarity with SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with Bermuda Reinsurance or process automation using scripts or AI.
• Fluent proficiency in a second language.
