Junior Industrial Designer (Assistive Technology)

What you will do

• Support the design and development of AAC devices, mounts, and accessories from concept through refinement.
• Create 3D CAD models, renderings, prototypes, and design documentation, including paper mock-ups and 3D-printed models.
• Collaborate with engineers to turn design concepts into feasible and manufacturable products.
• Explore colors, materials, and finishes and contribute to cohesive product experiences.
• Participate in user research, field studies, and usability testing; document and apply user insights.
• Contribute to packaging, accessory, and other industrial design initiatives while iterating designs based on stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industrial design experience, including internships.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
• Research-driven mindset with experience conducting and synthesizing user research.
• Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably with Rhino or SolidWorks, together with KeyShot.
• Strong sketching, visualization, and prototyping skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for production; excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with animation rendering.
• Experience designing products for medical, assistive technology, or education sectors.
