Senior Industrial Designer (3D Printing)

Location: Onsite in Austin, Texas, United States, with some travel as needed per project.

What you will do

• Conceive, design, validate, and launch new products and services.
• Collaborate with executives and multidisciplinary teams across hardware, home, controls, materials science, and software.
• Optimize product designs for function, aesthetics, and production with internal experts and external vendors.
• Research new materials, production methods, and technologies for project needs.
• Move between studio and field work while supporting production solutions and product development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional industrial design experience.
• Industrial Design degree.
• Produced portfolio work or a strong understanding of how designs can be manufactured.
• Experience with hands-on prototyping and managing production with partners and vendors.
• Strong attention to detail, design craftsmanship, material exploration, aesthetics, and collaborative communication.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, Texas, with project-related travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience in a design studio or large multidisciplinary team with established design processes.
• Experience in space or additive manufacturing.
• Experience creating product ecosystems and complete design languages.
• Strong 3D modeling and photorealistic rendering skills.
